The use of these references, resources and tools will help you track all your cryptocurrency. Keeping track of all your cryptocurrency is important because you are your own bank. This is not an all inclusive list, I’ll be adding more to this list as I use them or learn more about them. If you have something that works really well for you please feel free to let me know. Market News Sites

AMBCrypto – An independent news publishing platform founded in 2018, providing the latest news about Bitcoin, Altcoins, cryptocurrency, blockchain and mining tool information.

BeInCrypto – News website founded in 2018 that specializes in cryptographic technology, privacy, fintech and the internet among other related topics.

Bitcoin.com
– Cryptocurrency news site that focuses more on Bitcoin Cash but does have general Altcoin info. They also have a exchange, forum and knowledge base that is great for those that are new into the cryptocurrency world. This site has had some controversy due to the name of the website can mislead individuals to thinking they were purchasing Bitcoin instead of Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin Exchange Guide – One of the fastest-growing bitcoin and blockchain media outlets. Provides a wide range of information from cryptocurrency news, coin reviews, token analysis, user guides, market pricing and conference coverage.

Ccowl – News site with market info. Site is expected to have free custom alerts soon to help maintain your portfolio. 

Coin.fyi – A no frills cryptocurrency news site where you can find news specific to the cryptocurrency you want to research. Also, contains a user created watch list where you can monitor all your cryptocurrencies in one shot.

Coinspector  – An aggregator of news & info about various cryptocurrencies for around the world. Site is laid out in a forum type view vs a newspaper type layout and can be discouraging to those new in the cryptocurrency world.

Coin Telegraph – News site that also provides guides and analytics for certain cryptocurrency as well as providing a listing of “Top people in Blockchain”.

CryptoCoinNews – News site with decent info but careful with sponsor & advertisement links that litter the site. 

CryptoDaily – A UK based site that covers the latest new as well as discussing ICO’s, cryptocurrency exchanges, mining guides and wallet reviews.

CryptoPanic – An aggregator of news & info about various cryptocurrencies. Site is laid out in a forum type view vs a newspaper type layout and can be discouraging to those new in the cryptocurrency world. 

Eveningstar – A Morningstar version for cryptocurrency.

NewsBTC – News site that covers Bitcoin news, exchanges, mining and  provide technical analysis on certain cryptocurrency.

Market Status Sites

Bitcoin Wisdom – Smaller no frills market status website that lists Bitcoin and the top 25 altcoins by marketcap in BTC prices with current price, 7 day, 30 day and 365 day trend. Also lists Bitcoin price in EUR, KRW, RUB, USDT, GBP and JPY.

Coincheckup – Displays market analysis and investment stats for cryptocurrency. Site also provides information on ICO’s. A wide variety of information can be found here, such as GitHub info, Pump & Dump, Arbitrage and more. Site also break down cryptocurrency in various categories or by gains & losses and more.

CoinGecko – Site provides data on cryptocurrency to include over 5500 coins, 375 exchanges and much more information. User can get tons of valuable data, pretty much everything you need when researching cryptocurrency investments.

Coinmarketcap – Possible the gold standard when referring to cryptocurrency market values. Site tracks Bitcoin and most of the Altcoins. Various information is provided for each cryptocurrency to include; markets traded, price history, social tools and more.

Coinpaprika – Cryptocurrency status listings for coins, exchanges and much more. Allows the user to conduct research on just about any coin available, also allows the ability to compare the price of a few coins across different exchanges at one time. Has an app: COINS by coinpaprika

Coinpuffs – Market status by the same people that run Decentralized TV and The Bitcoin Pub.

CryptoCoinCharts – Cryptocurrency Exchanges/Markets List that provides general information about all of its exchanges. Information such as 24H Volume, 24H Trades, Status of exchange, Exchange link, Originating country and number of markets/pairs.

Cryptocompare – Market status website that also includes news, tips, user forum, mining info, portfolio tips and even reviews on mining equipment, mining companies, exchange reviews and hardware wallets.

Cryptocurrencies Index 30 (CCI30) – A index of the top 30 cryptocurrencies.

OnChainFX – A market status website that is a little more streamlined and basic concentrating on crypto coins themselves. Site doesn’t really give information on exchanges, ICOs, widgets for data or the ability to compare coins.

Community Sites

Bitcoinwiki – A community based bitcoin resource with tons of information.

Bitcointalk – One of the biggest cryptocurrency community. Also includes boards in various languages.

Bitcoin Myths – Some top cryptocurrency myths busted! Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? Read and find out.

Coinality – Looking for employment? A simple job board for individuals looking for employment in the Blockchain/Crypto space. Jobs are listed in a forum type format with everything from Internship’s to CTO openings. You could also just post your resume and wait for that offer. 🙂

Coinmarketcal – Keep up to day with all the happenings. This calendar keeps you well informed about upcoming events, product releases, upcoming forks, exchange listings, conferences or meet ups and more all within the Cryptocurrency world.

Discord – A popular voice and text chat popular among gamers that has been adopted by many cryptocurrency enthusiast. Program can be used across various platforms including gaming consoles, phones and computers.

Donate Bitcoin – Organizations and projects that accept Bitcoin donations.

Investopedia – Great site for the whole financial picture. Lots of tools from stock simulator to educational courses (not all resources are free). Not just cryptocurrency related.

Invest in Blockchain – Website that provides relatively new information on cryptocurrency. They do have a large “Press Releases” area which is nothing more than cryptocurrency that pay for self promotion. This site does provide some information on education and investments.

MyEtherWallet – MyEtherWallet (MEW) is a free client side website that helps interface the user with the Ethereum blockchain. This open-source platform allows the user to generate wallets, interact with smart contracts and much more.

Steemit – A social media platform where individuals can get paid for creating and curating media content. Site uses a digital point system in which users give points/tips/upvotes for their contribution. The point/upvotes are turned into Steemit’s digital currency. Steemit uses the blockchain to record all transactions of their digital currency (STEEM, Steem Power and Steem Dollars)

Portfolio & Tax Tools

BearTax – Tax service that helps consolidate your trades over 40 major exchanges. BearTax inports your transactions, calculates gains and files the taxes. This service targets individuals and CPAs.

Bitcoin.tax – Calculating capital gains and taxes for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, imports into TurboTax and also partnered with a full tax prep service CryptoTaxPrep and Visor.

Bittax – This service claims to get your crypto tax report calculations in just 4 steps. They can help those that have received a letter from IRS concerning your crypto holdings. Uses a 3 calculation method to optimize your tax liability.

Blox – Offers more of a all-in-one. Offers services for miners, provides CPA tools, bookkeeping and transaction controls, business management tools & enterprise crypto solutions. Provides it’s services to blockchain companies, exchanges, accounting firms, crypto funds, mining operations and more.

Coinigy – A popular all in one platform for cryptocurrency.

CoinTracker – This service is a cryptocurrency tax calculator and also a wallet tracker. CoinTracker fully supports USA, UK, Canada and Australia and partial supports all countries tax reporting. Directly connects to over 300 supported exchanges.

CoinTracking – A profit & loss portfolio monitor and tax tracker for almost all cryptocurrency. Currently tracking over 5,462 existing cryptocurrencies, over 50 exchanges including over 15 platforms that are closed such as Mt. Gox.

Cryptocurrency and Taxes: A Starter Guide – As stated a starting guide that may answer some of the big questions you have to get you off on the right foot.

CryptoTax – This service offers country-specific tax reports that can be generated in over 30 different currencies. Imports data from over 20 exchanges and over 8,000 coins to include ICOs, staking, air drops, hard forks and more.

Cryptotrader – Partnering with TurboTax, this service supports over 26 cryptocurrency exchanges and claims easy tax preparation that directly imports your cryptocurrency data into TurboTax software for e-filing.

Koinly – This service supports cryptocurrency data from over 20 exchanges, 10 blockchains, 6,000 coins and over 100 countries which processes ICOs, staking, mining, produce capital gains reports, income reports and many more.

TokenTax – Supporting every major exchange and countries like Germany, Portugal, South Korea, Australia, USA and many more. Although they are based in the USA, they can help expats with FBAR’s, even with countries with unique tax calendars.

ZenLedger – Another TurboTax partner, Zenledger works with all major exchanges. Offers the ability to automatically import your data such as cryptocurrency transactions, calculate income and gains, and auto-fill tax forms like 8949 & Schedule D data into TubroTax.

Mobile Apps

1PasswordA popular program to manage all those passwords you are going to need when signing up for various cryptocurrency actions. Also has an extension program for adding on to your web browser to make it easy to sign into sites.

AuthyProgram that adds two-factor (2FA) protection for your accounts.

Blockfolio – Popular free app for tracking your portfolio, also includes news snippets but only allows one portfolio and no separate watchlist. Not many options but simple and sweet.

BinanceJust like the popular site but when you need to make those late night trades while in your bed or on the can. 🙂

Coinbase A app version of the website which makes it so simple to buy a few different types of cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Etherum, Litecoin or Bitcoin Cash.

Delta – Another very popular app for tracking portfolio with many options including a watchlist for free version or create several more portfolios with paid version. User can even create a recovery key. Seems to have more options that Blockfolio but no news snippets if you like that.

RobinhoodThe popular stock market trading company but for crypto on your phone, currently only available to users of certain states.

Tab TraderApp for buying/selling/trading cryptocurrency. The app allows for the opportunity to display multiple exchange accounts on a single interface and single screen.

AirDrop Alert – Claims to be the first airdrop aggregator, live since June 2017. 

AirDrops.io – A free source that presents the world’s most current & legitimate cryptocurrency airdrops. They verify & aggregate airdrops & bounties daily.

Masternode resources 

Masternodes Online – A coin monitoring & stats service. Provides information on coin, price, volume etc plus some very important information like ROI, the number of nodes available and how many coin’s are required to start up your own node. 

Podcasts

Chat with Traders –  Hosted by Aaron Fifield from Sydney. He hosts a wide variety of traders and market participants with varying levels of success from billionaires to whistle-blowers to retail grinders.

The Bitcoin Podcast – A larger operation that offers other paired podcasts such as Just the Headers, Hashing it Out and more. Many Bitcoin & cryptocurrency topics covered from A to Z. Guest include some big names in blockchain like Andreas Antonopoulos, Brock Pierce, Roger Ver and many more.

Crypto 101Hosted by Bryce Paul & Matthew Aaron. A large library of over 250 episodes that normally run 30 minutes. The topics and guest vary greatly and provide great information for those in the crypto market.

UnchainedA audio only podcast that has recently been added to YouTube (Unchained Podcast). Hosted by Laura Shin, a blockchain/crypto journalist. Former senior editor of Forbes, was the first mainstream reporter to cover crypto assets full-time. Guests include book authors, CEOs, regulation experts & market analyst.

Coin MasteryHosted by Carter Thomas on YouTube, a single person operation. Offers few guests but does provide some insight examining Bitcoin fundamentals, politics, money & economics.

The Bad Crypto Podcast – Hosted by Joel Comm & Travis Wright. A podcast about crypto that throws in some comedy. Over 250 podcast available, guest include all sorts of individuals from CEO’s to comedians, actors or even video game creators. One of the more entertaining crypto podcasts out there.

B21 BlockHosted by Ravinder Deol. A single person operation with specific topics and shorter podcasts. Hasn’t been updated since early 2019 but library still contains good information.
