MadMandoCrypto was created by me in 2018. I had been reading and learning about Bitcoin & cryptocurrency since mid 2017, later that same year I actually dove in and bought my first Bitcoin.

While researching cryptocurrency I realized I had to go to several different sites just to get the daily news. This is back when cryptocurrency news wasn’t mainstream and the news was a little sparse because you had to know where to go. I sourced my news from places like YouTube and Reddit, but the problem during this time was almost everyone was shilling from whomever paid them. Sometimes you couldn’t even trust the news website due to them displaying guest writers who were promoting something in which they undoubtedly benefited from.

During that time I noticed I hadn’t come across any crypto aggregate sites or at least any that were worth my time. I decided I wanted to create a site to get some actual news instead of shilling personalities. I thought that maybe I would actually be helping someone. I didn’t know anything about starting up a website but I thought it would be great to incorporate a blog about cryptocurrency. I wanted to document my experience as a new cryptocurrency user. I felt it would be a great way to accomplish many things like tracking what I had learned, passing that information on to others that are making their way through cryptocurrency and maybe as a historical database for my future self, friends and family.

I’m determined to post high-quality factual and actual news. A lot of crypto “News” websites have some sort of agenda or make arrangements with certain customers to push certain information. I believe in Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. I have no agenda, loyalty, or bias towards any specific project, token, blockchain, news site or individual in the cryptocurrency realm. Even though I do have some affiliate links, I don’t do sponsorships or post anything I don’t trust. I just want to learn and inform others and maybe help out a little and do my part to help get cryptocurrency and blockchain out to the world.
